Graeme brings over 18 years experience in private equity and finance with specialization in highly complex transactional commodity-focused derivatives. After college and well into pursuing his PhD in pure math, Graeme opted for a career in investment and finance as Division Director at Macquarie Bank in Sydney where he managed a joint venture with Standard Bank of South Africa to develop a derivatives business, developed the bank’s base metals trading and structuring business, and formulated complex mathematical pricing and risk management systems for its financial markets division. Subsequently he joined AIG Trading in New York as Managing Director where he executed and completed the world’s largest gold derivatives transaction totaling more than US $2.5B, negotiated and managed a banking joint venture in South Africa to develop a gold derivative business, and managed significant commodity and foreign exchange transactions in Australia, South Africa and Brazil. Graeme received a B.Sc. (First Class Honors in Math) from the University of Queensland.
