Armand brings over 19 years of venture capital, private equity and operational experience to Hatch. Armand began his career with Berkshire Partners, a $4 billion leveraged buyout fund in Boston which specializes in later stage buyouts and recapitalizations. He then worked for Boston Capital Ventures, an early stage VC. At both firms and over those five years, Armand analyzed countless deals and industries amassing wide exposure to all aspects of the venture capital and private equity process. Looking to round out his experience, Armand then spent the next twelve years running companies, gaining critical entrepreneurial and managerial experience across a broad spectrum of industries. During that period, he became the SVP of M&A for Clark Security Products the largest door and security hardware distributor in the country, founded, ran and sold his own rollup in the security installation industry, and served as EVP for a $120MM portfolio company of Berkshire in the litigation support services industry. In those various endeavors, Armand had P&L responsibility for up to $75MM in revenue and over 300 employees. Subsequent to the successful sale of that company, Armand joined Gödel Capital in 2005 as Managing Member responsible for its venture investments.
